About
bestofyou.tube exists because YouTube's recommendation algorithm is optimized for one thing: keeping you watching. That is not the same as helping you learn.
We pick deep topics — math, machining, music theory, climate science, and a dozen more — and assemble the videos that actually teach those topics well. Every video is scored 0–100 by an LLM against an explicit substance rubric, and the rubric is published next to the topic so you can argue with it.
Top picks (85+) are shown first. Borderline videos (50–69) are collapsed by default — visible if you want them, hidden if you don't. Anything below 50 gets indexed but not surfaced.
This is the alpha. The ingest pipeline runs weekly. If a topic feels thin, that's because curation is hard and we'd rather show you five excellent videos than fifty mediocre ones.
